Coralline Algae

I heard that Coralline Algae growth on live rocks are the best to show that your tank is maturing great. Can anyone elaborate on this? What are the benefits?

What coralline algae shows is that your Alk and calcium levels are at the proper levels and that your lighting is good for growth of corals. If you do not have your chemical levels and lighting correct you will not see a healthy growth of coralline algae.

Yeah, good sign levels are in check, and also makes harder for nuisance algae to take hold on rock.
