coralline algae?

will coralline algae grow without introducing live rock with it or using the bottled algae? i started my tank a few months ago with dry rock so it’s not seeded at all? will it grow without seeding or will i need to put a small piece of live rock in the tank

It won't magically appear, there needs to be a "seeding" source of it. But you'll eventually come into contact with it at one point or another through frag plugs or snail shells. No need to introduce it using a bottled algae.
