I was just wondering if this is coralline algae and if not what is it?

Kind of looks like cyanos. Does it easily blow off the rocks?

Yeah, I'd take a turkey baster to it and if it blows off it's cyano. It means you have a dead spot of flow there.

Yeah kinda it was all over the glass too I just scraped all of it off and am doing waterchange

Can do a chemiclean treatment- should knock it out.

definitely cyano I just did that and it came right off, how do I get rid of it?

@jameslafo find a way to get some water flow in that area would be my suggestion, powerhead movement or additional one.

It’s reef safe - just follow directions. Should be good. Going forward increase flow and keeping nutrients within acceptable parameters should keep it away. Good luck.

Lol just kidding. But technically to remove every spore of Cyano in your tank is probably impossible without killing everything else.

How to keep it so it's not blooming that's the question.

Normally Cyano blooms in dirty water.
