I’m curious if this is green Coraline algae? It doesn’t come off easily.

hi,if it is same as spot on frag plug yes
alk and cal #'s ??
stable ?

It has to be the same, the plug was completely white when it was put in. I don’t know exact numbers right now. This is my work tank and my test kit is at home. I would assume it’s good from my last test. Also my green mushroom has split. That was 1 big mushroom about 4 inches across when I left the office Friday. Now it is apparently 2 mushrooms about 2 inches across.

It is surface and slime algae and not even close to coralline which is calcareous. This is one where you can reduce white light and add cleaner snails such as:
Astrea
Turbo
cerith
nerite
Nassarius

6-8 caribbean blue leg hermits

And even a pencil urchin

wont be coralline in that new of a tank the rocks are still bright white same as the sand lol

Looks like you have some grreen there. I have some but its hard to get a pic.

To the OP. Its typical green algae.
I get the exact, you can see it in the pic, when I put dead rock in my sump. I just blow it off or take the rock out and use a toothbrush to remove it, rinse, then back in. In a few months it will be coverd.

I have some green that looks like yours in the pic. Hard green splotches come and go in my system.
