Just wondering if I can add helix coralline algae to a 4 year old tank. It’s doing well but coralline has been very slow. Or is it for new tanks only.

Can add to any tank but if already seeded (growing slow) likely won't speed it up. Warer quality and lighting will do that.ake parameters? Especially dkh, calc, and mag.

The only way the bottle of coralline algae will work for you is if it contained a particular strain of coralline that you don’t already have that somehow had a preference towards your parameters.

I personally have really good and fast coralline algae growth by just seeding some coralline algae from coral plugs and rocks. What are your parameter?

Those parameters look perfect for coralline algae growth.

What lights do you have? Do you do regular water changes?
