So my tank is over a year old and there is no coralline algae on my rock work. Instead, it grows only on my glass and equipment. There is a lot of it everywhere else, but little to none on my rock. Any idea why?

I have a 10gal QT doing the same. Only on the bottom glass

Exactly....

At one year mark, it is still likely that rock is covered with various "colors" - green, brown....

And untill it all goes away, naturaly, coraline cant grow on such surfaces.

Give it time, nice deep purple colored rock takes few years....

Coraline algae grow better on a clean surface. maybe your rock has some other algae that are preventing it from growing.
Thanks for letting me know, my rock has lots of aiptasia but the nudibranchs are starting to wipe it out. Also got some bubble algae that I have to manually remove every once in a while.

I started with dry rock and it took over two years for it to start growing on my rocks. Recently it's really starting to take off. Loves to grow in my skimmer though
