im bored so have an idea....... like most i regular visit coralpedia to view the zoa section (nice to drool over what we dont have here in the UK) but i also like to find double entries of the same morph which basically look slightly different depending on lighting applied for the picture or more commonly where a faded version of a same morph has been submitted and also given an name/entry.

so just for fun if you know your zoas see what double entries you can find or maybe more even..........in one case i believe 5x entries of a same morph

maybe they could tidy the site up and add these faded looking morph piccys to the original to show how they can look when not coloured up nicely?????

heres some starters

OPE (faded) = RPE (6 weeks later given less white and enough blue light to feed from)

blue ice (faded) = green eggs (faded) = eye of rah

fire & ice = grateful dead (same morph lol whose kidding who)

imperfects (faded) = eclipse yellow

hornets? blue/purple lets see them without any blue lights overhead.... have any of you seen lemon drops looking faded then apply lots blue light for a piccy lol ????? or do some ppl have AOI

good thread berns..noticed today that there are a lot of new ones on there too..the only one i noticed are black hole suns and copper rings..same polyps only black hole suns are suppose to have a copper ring around the eye..and yet the copper rings don't have that same copper ring.. :ooh::tongue:

Great thread berns. We began to consolidate most of the obvious double entries such as fire & ice / grateful dead (you'll notice that one is a subfolder of another now and the names were grandfathered in to avoid confusion.) But as always, with zoanthids and so many possible morphs out there, we do miss a few here and there. :D Feel free to shoot me or Who Dah? a PM and we can take care of them for you. Some of them such as OPEs / RPEs and Black Hole Suns / Copper Rings, we do believe that they are unique enough to deserve their own galleries. (i.e. copper ring, red circle whereas blackholesun, yellow circle)

great stuff. i enjoy coralpedia/zoa section very much. although i do see a lot that i can't find on there, it's a great source of reference and very nice pictures.

How about the large Orange palys? Organism, Lunar Eclipse, and EZs? Maybe at one time they were all distinct, but with individuals IDs, and people naming everything that comes along, these three are often miss-named and/or the same.
