Had a pretty bad experience with the guy. Ordered about $175 worth of coral, mostly Z's and P's from his eBay store. Shipped USPS overnight and the box showed up on time. All the frags were microscopic, placed on tiny tiles and rubberbanded to a piece of ripped up styrafoam. Most of the water from bag #1 containing the coral was in bag #2 and some into bag #3. I live on the coast here in California and that day it as 58 degrees outside and the water temp in the bag was 62.

So after acclimated, dipping and what not about 50% of the coral was dead. Took about a week for the rest to open. I told him what had happened, and I wasn't happy at ALL with the corals that did make it. They are tiny, < 1/4" for the polyps. After about a week of back and forth messages, I was going to leave negative feedback but he offered me a 50% refund. So, I got the refund and left him his positive feedback as I too did not want negative feedback.

Now after about a month since last contact, the rest of the coral has melted away while older and new coral (softies, sps and others) have thrieved. I thought people should know about my experience as I didn't get to properly leave my feedback on the bay.

May get flamed for not doing the right thing, thats OK. I really do feel bad :/

Not related to the transaction but keep in mind, Ebay Sellers haven't been allowed to leave anything other than positive feedback for several years. Sellers can only leave Positive Feedback. If they leave Positive feedback with negative comments, it can be removed and seller can receive a TOS strike.

I have ordered many times from this guy with great success and so have many others. Look at his feedback it is 99%+. Look at the comments in his feedback they are really good. Maybe your system is having trouble and you just do not know it. 62F is not too cold for corals if it is for part of a day. As for floating the corals on styrofoam that is normal for the industry and helps protect the corals during shipping. It sounds like you are a newbie and you are upset because you ordered coral frags and thought you were getting colonies. His item descriptions clearly state the frag sizes.

That is something they do NOT advertise, thank you for the info.

Just received a very professional response from the seller VIA eBay Messaging

Everything you said is a lie. You were caught. Next time think twice about posting to reef2reef. I am good friends with the owner. Your post is being removed. You said everything died but now some of them survived so which is it. You made yourself look like a fool by admitting to killing zoas. It is funny how you cannot keep zoas alive but hundreds of other customers of mine can but I know I did something wrong. Zoas are the easiest coral to keep and you killed them, that just shows your level or lack of experience. I have never had a whole order die until yours. I have shipped orders to UK and Hong Kong and they both took a week to get there with no problems and some how I did something wrong with your order. You just saw the pretty pics and did not bother reading the item description so now you are mad you received frags. Good luck newbie.

The fact of the matter is, I have added a lot of coral to the pico in the last 3 months and I am really unsure on what 1 survivor may or may not be his. No lies, just difficult to tell.

If this thread disappears you know why.

I think I would be ****** as a seller too. Let me get this right, you go on and bash the seller saying all the corals he sent died and then now your admitting your not sure if they did. On top that the seller refunded half your money because you told him they did die. I think you owe the seller an apology and money. Like I have previously posted I have ordered from this seller multiple times with no problems and so have many others: just look at his feedback.
