I used 2 part for a long time and I been dosing 8.4 and stoped after a week or 2 of not seeing ph rise and stay. Now I have checked my calcium leaves and it’s around the 300 so I dosed with 2 part again. Anything else I can do. My candy cane is looking skeletal. Nothing is looking really good.

I just did a water change on Saturday. I haven’t done one in 2 weeks and that’s when I saw everything thriving until my trumpet coral started bleaching and one is just white skeleton now and candy can started reseeding

Everything looked good and fluffy now looks like it’s dying. Should I go back to using 8.4 and then slowly decrease.

I'd use 8.4 to maintain alkalinity at a steady number. Calcium dosing should be applied as well. Test often and dose according to the tanks uptake.

I thought you were dosing 2-part? First and foremost I would not dose anything I couldn't test for and testing should be done regularly so you can adjust the dosing to meet your tanks needs. If your only dosing 8.4 then your calcium is going to plummet without dosing a calcium supplement as well. 8.4 is a carbonate/bicarbonate blend and while it can help maintain PH, I would not use it to raise PH. I would stop dosing altogether until you can test for alkalinity, calcium and magnesium.

I am checking calcium only now it’s 320. I am bad about checking levels.
