Corals colours better after fragging

I have had a few accidents recently during moving some rocks.

The bits I've knocked off and put on frag plugs have better colours than the mother colony. Also the bit of the mother that was broken seems to be healing to better colours.

Should I be trimming my SPS to get the best of out them?

Give it time to decide. COlors may be muted over time by changes in zooxanthellae, melanin and photobiology.
