Corals - dead on arrival

Just slow it down a bit. Don’t dose if you are not testing on a regular basis. Just weekly water changes for now.

What is your water flow like? Good flow helps corals thrive.

Pictures for all the “you can’t have sps without tons of light” people. Side note, bubble tips might need more light then this. This is what can be achieved with Innovative Marine stock lights.

Very nice tank.
I never said the OP needs tons of light, just more than what they have currently (settings were way too low) and would have more success with more fixtures (you yourself have 2), if OP planned on housing acropora, which you don’t have in your tank. What size is your tank? Smaller than 40 gallons?

14 alk is way too high!!

Get your own RODI unit and mix your own salt. I like red sea blue bucket for SPS.

Don't expect a LFS to give a dang and give you perfect mix of salt every time for an acro tank. That's just a crash waiting to happen. You need to be responsible for what you make and put in your tank.

As far as the copper goes....the tank and equipment can be rinsed well and reused but I would replace the rock and sand. Copper is a poison to invertebrates and the reason people use quarantine tanks.

Assuming you solve the potential copper problem, you should use my hydra 26 settings, but you’ll need at least 1 more prime for sps.
After I changed the settings per your recommendation, max I could go is 40 W, I see that corals are opening a little bit and show little improvement within 24 hours. So the light I bought only goes up to 40W. may be I bought the weaker version of Prime HD light from amazon.

I forgot to mention that I have had a white star fish in the tank for last 2 months doing very well. If I had any small amount of copper leaking from rock/sand would this star fish be dead by now???

No. The prime hd maxes out at 55 watts but you have to max out the red, green and white to achieve that. You need another one.

Acclimation extremely important. How did you acclimate them?
Also, were they introduced under bright lights?

1. For first question.. I have answered in detail, in this thread.
2. They were introduced under 25W worth of light.. currently I have it 50W light.
