Corals from Canada to US

My cousin is coming over from Toronto and she live close to reefraft so I was considering bring over some corals. Correct me if I am wrong and here is my understanding of the regulations.

Can transport soft corals but not on any live rock, frag plugs are alright
Soft corals - zoa/palys, Corallimorpharians

Hard corals - need docs for cities (sp)

You are correct Sr71 soft corals have to be on man made objects.....They have some Florida ricordea I would like toget my hands on....

if you're after the aussie acan lords, just contact RR...they say they have CITES for anyone wanting to buy from them (they'll ship your order to the US - you cannot leave the store with them, i'm almost sure of that)....but i reckon it's only for stores (or people with thousands of $$$ to blow!)

and yeah....MAKE SURE YOUR COUSIN has documentation on the exact soft corals she is bringing over...including documentation that shows the coral/species is not on CITES Appendix II (a printout is OK).

yeah...avoid the hard corals (SPS)....and make sure your claim at the border is 100% bulletproof.

I have a buddy who brought back a sweet cespitularia frag...customs never gave him a hard time...they just checked all the documentation and asked a few questions.....he said Customs even went on to RC to confirm that the URL on the printout was legit......no biggie

hmm....RR does not have any rics in this week....and I don't think there are any shipments planned (ie...there has not been any shipment announcements made on AP as yet, afaik)...they do have lots of yumas....heck, a lot of the toronto reef shops have yumas in!

However, there are other stores that have a good pile of r. floridas in....PM me for their names.
