Hi, my tank is around 8 months old and it was running smoothly until around a month ago. I started to notice that some corals close up and around 2 weeks ago they really stopped opened up. It's mostly the hammer coral and acans. I was wondering what I should do. I also tried reducing the power of my light. (the dead head on the hammer has been dead for a while )

Salinity-1.023
ammonia - <0.15
nitrate - 10
nitrite - 0

Tells us more about your tank. 1.023 is low on salinity. Needs to be 1.026 or 35 PPT.

What test kits do you have other than nitrate (nitrite at 8 months isn't something you would need to test unless you had a major recycle)

RO/DI water? ATO? What lights? ......etc.

Check your salinity make sure is 1.025-1.026.
Check your parameters with test kits that are more accurate like red sea,, hannah, or salifert.
Adjust your parameters slowly. Test continuously to make adjustments.

ok I added hgiher salinity water to equal it out. I have PH and Ill test it rn and I also have Kh, Mg, and Ca, but im pretty sure Kh and Mg expired. I also use RO/DI water and have an ato. I have 2 Ai primes over a nuvo 30l and a mp10. The temp is around 79-81degrees. I also have a protein skimmer.

I use salifert for ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite. and i have red sea mg, kh, and ca tests and ph APi test kit which is less accurate.

Okay, Have you change anything lately? Are you dosing anything?

My Ph is 8.0

I would let water evaporate on its own until it reaches 1.025 or 1.026
