Hi everyone! I'm having some issues with my reefer 250 and figured I'd get some advice from you experts. My stony corals recently stopped opening up fully (but my softies seem to be fine). The aquarium has been up for about 5 months, and my corals were doing great for awhile. Before this sudden downturn. I recently did a water change just to get things back on track.

My parameters:
Ca: 430ppm
Mg: 1360ppm
Alk: 8.3
PO4: 0.1ppm
NO3: 0ppm

Any ideas on what it could be? I'm considering dosing some neo nitro to boost the nitrate levels, if that'll do any good. Please do let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Nitrates being at 0 is a problem.

Before just adding chemicals what is taking all the nitrates out? If running a fuge cut the lighting time down.

Hi, thanks for the advice! I’ll cut down on my fuge settings. I suspect the reason for my nitrates being down so low is cause I had my system running fallow for awhile (velvet outbreak). Could that be the cause?
