Corals on the sand bed

I may be placing a Button Scoly and or Octospawn on my sand. Is it better to just leave them on the frag plug? On a flat rock? My guess is on a rock, however would like feedback. Thanks in advance.

frag plug is fine!

you can use @Printed Reef scoly plugs

Most important thing is to place them where they thrive based on lighting and flow, but the sand bed should generally be fine.
