Corals turning black and dying?!!

I had a huge ammonia spike yesterday, I still have no idea what caused it. Treated it with reef fraction until I could buy some sea water and change it. Got the ammonia under control then the ph and alk dropped, corrected that but my corals are still dying by the minute.
Is this a delayed reaction or is there still something wrong??

Yea that urchin is well gone . That's probably where the ammonia spike has come from . Unless you have bad water ? Where do you purchase water from ??

Whatever is dead or presumed dead, should be removed, otherwise your fish might be next one, or by minimum they will succumb to some illness.
On some pictures I can see slimy algae, with some bubbles. It might be dreaded Dinos and cause of your problems.
I would investigate it, do some reading on Forums here and start Activated Carbon by minimum.Continue water changes to get rid of ammonia and monitor values.

I'd remove anything dead and do a large water change .

It's not looking good , pull it out and check if it's alive . But usually when all the spines fall off it's not in good health!

My urchins move about quite alot . So if it ain't moved in a few days I'd say it's dead !

If you used reef flux 48 hr ago then you really need to have supplemented the oxygenation of the water. Add a couple airstones or run skimmer without the cup, are 2 easier options. The reef flux will suck out a lot of the oxygen in the water and your inhabitants may be suffering from that , hope this helps

Ahhh! I had a torch do that to me… I never did figure out what or why… but I dipped it in iodine for about 5 minutes and rinsed well and put it back in my tank.. he’s done great ever since! I’m guessing some kinda bacterial infection, but an iodine bath cured it.
