Hello fellow reefers.

My corals mainly SPS are being impacted by something which I cannot identify. They are turning white and I am not able to control it. Any ideas?

What is your Phosphate level? How long has the tank been running? What lights and do you know PAR value? So, this can be caused by many things. The ORP seems low too me as well but may mean nothing. When was the last water change and what mix was it? How large is the tank? Temperature?

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way I can reverse this
Do a 25% water change if possible and if it continues go ahead clip the coral above the recession and replant them.. most of the time corals can be saved by clipping off the decaying part and saving the healthy part.

How much light are you hitting them with. Could be STN, but could also be they are shedding Zooxanthellae if they are getting too much light for their liking. Is it all corals or just specific ones that possibly need to be moved to a lower light level location?

These are different corals (only SPS) placed at different levels but all are below 15-20 cm water level and light is Razor R420R. I have done 10% water change 2 days ago but it didn't help and I am planning to do 30% tomorrow.

I need to check Phosphate level. This tank is running from almost 2 years. Its a Red Sea 425. I did a 10% water change few days ago. I never had ORP above 300.

Looks like tip burn, high light, high alk, low nutrients. (relative to one another)

Bad source water can also cause this, what's the TDS on your RODI? I had a membrane blow through not too long ago that caused this in maybe half my sps. Gonis and euphyllia flourished, but the acros hated it.
