I think the acan echinata wins over pretty much every other coral...it's like the grandmaster of coral war.

I thought it would be the galaxia coral.

I try to keep my Duncan away from things. Zoa's hated being near it. So not sure about this. You should post some photos

i really need to get one of those orange gel filters i guess.. i'll try to get some less zoomed in photos later

First photo, acro vs Monti. Acro totally winning here. This acro is growing super fast and quite aggressive. 2nd photo, is Monti vs Monti and these 2 are playing nice so far. There is red Monti behind the purple that is quite aggressive as well and I have to keep trimming it back to allow the purple to get bigger.

This is a great thread! Glad you started it. I'm still researching my tank. I find little info on how far apart to keep you corals from each other due to sweeper tentacle length or how fast a species will grow so you can try to place your frags accordingly. Definately helps a newbie like me.

Giant coral fight lol, my personal tank.

Pink the bear start at major handicap, but it’s grown 3” outward just stretch past the setosa and stings it constantly.

One of my more basic service clients old Red Sea AIO everything is in a constant battle like gsp is trying really hard though the shrooms, euphyllia, and cabbage keep it in its place and shaped lol. Where monti skeleton is was a 8-9” orange cap that mushroom made rtn .

Earlier pic to give you an idea. 7-8 months before the cap colony rtn’d. I continue to have this happen there’s many shroom on every rock I just live with it.

in a surprising turn of events, my torch crew apparently leaves alone blastos and favias

the blastos are below the torch so they normally aren't close to touching, but when i turn the flow off they droop down and definitely touch the blastos, but apparently neither are worse for the wear

the favia i kinda didnt know what to do with it and let it wander the tank on the frag plug, finally decided i'd put it in this crevice area right by the torch thinking it was dead/would be dead after placing it there. but oddly enough, the torch leaves it alone and it has made a total return, now it's encrusting the rock.. which was what i was kinda worried about.. lol

I don't have pictures, but I had a frogspawn sting the mess out of a acan and blasto. I also caught my torch trying to sting an acan below it. The acan closed up on it and tried to eat it. The tentacle got super stretched out until it broke.

IME the size of the colony has a lot to do with who wins the fight as well.

I have had my bubble coral eat tentacles from a hammer that kept trying to sting it.
