Corals

Tough question imo. I think what makes corals hard or easy has to do with your water parsons, are they stable? What lighting do you have? And I agree with Knoxjolee get what you like.

That said some of my first that are still alive even with fluctuating params are pipe organ, blastos, hammer, shrooms. Monti SPS seem pretty forgiving too

+1. In order to give you an idea of what would be good for your tank, we would need to know tank size and the lighting.
 
Aren't softies usually the easy ones to start with? I'm not saying you should or shouldn't get softies, just throwing this out there to be discuss. :) Good luck!

That's the conventional wisdom, but it's not always true. I definitely wouldn't start with SPS, but LPS can be pretty easy. Zoas are supposed to be the easiest corals to grow but I've never had success with them in my tank. So...a lot is trial and error in your particular tank. Some easy ones I've had are ricordea mushrooms and Acans.
