When is a good time to start introducing corals and which ones are the best for beginners?

soft corals are typically more forgiving than other types. I would add them once you can keep your parameters stable

when your parameters are stable you can add zoas, mushrooms, GSP, different types of soft corals, once those are alive and you can keep Calcium, Alk, and Magnesium stable you can get some hard corals.

I've had my aquarium up and running for two months or so and I've added a Kenya tree and two toadstool leathers frags so far. So far all is well.

I was trying to see if I can add a montipora or frogspawn or candy canes are any them okay ?

Frog spawn sure, I would wait on the Montipora until you start to see good coralline algae growth.

When you see purple coralline algae starting to pop up on the glass, rocks, pumps and power heads. If your tank is growing coralline it's probably ready for small polyp corals/SPS like Montipora.

How long does it usually take to grow
?? Mine has been up for 2 months

Around 3 months. Usually on intensely lit tanks you'll see it start areas with less light intensity. If the tank is for any reason deficient in calcium, magnesium or has low alk value it will take longer. You can also buy a piece of LR already encrusted with coralline and shave the algae off and seed the tank that way.
