Hello everybody! I have 55 gallon tank for about 13 months im ready to start putting corals inside but not sure if is ready cause im confuse on what are my parimeters should look like im been searching alot but everybody says different things and it only makes me more confuse! Can anybody help me to the right pad
Calcium-370
Kh-12.6
Mg-1200
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-0
Phospate-.25
Ph-8.2
Salinity-1.026

You will want your calcium around 420 to 450. your DKh is high and doesn't leave you allot of wiggle room for mistakes. Try running your DKH around 9DKH.That way if you have an issue by the time you find it you wont be in to trouble. Magnesium around 1280 is good. So its pretty good where its at. You need about 5ppm Nitrates. Without nitrates your corals will die. so you will most likely want to dose nitrates to get them up. Phosphates are a little high, but you can run the aquarium that high. .05ppm to .1ppm is where allot of people try to keep them.

What salt are you using as they'll have their parameters on the label which is ideally what you want to keep to.

Need to have some nitrates
Mg I would argue bump a little to the low 1300s

The quote below is from the mod of the Chemistry forum here on Reef2Reef; it has recommended ranges for parameters (the only thing typically considered important from table 2 is Nitrate). Most people I’ve seen just suggest getting your numbers in these ranges and then keeping them as stable as possible:

Thats quite some patients to wait over a year to add some coral! But no doubt your tank is ready. We like to run our systems around:

Calcium-450
Kh-8.5
Mg-1350
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10
Phospate- UNDER .15
Ph-8.2 8.3
Salinity-1.025 - 1.026

Just to be clear. Your tank is not ready for corals until you get some nitrates. No nitrates will cause coral bleaching, diminishing flesh, etc..... and eventually death. The rest is manageable.

Get your nitrates up between 5ppm to 10ppm before putting corals in to save yourself some money and frustration.

I agree with this. However I can give you advice, don't always chase numbers. Once your tankbgets older it will find its balance. I can't get my nitrates up past 4, my corals seem fine and grow perfectly fine.

What I'm saying is that eventually through proper care the tank will find its balance, and as long as everything is growing and happy don't worry about it.
