Is this the options for the coralvue hydros automatic fish feeder through the hydros controller app. The picture attached is from the smart life app and I’m wondering which features I may be missing out on. I do not own a controller and didn’t read before I bought.

I think you have to have a Hydros controller. That is how mine is setup.
I can set a schedule it will spin-discharge food 1 time then will stop. Just trying to find out that it I were to buy a hydros controller would I have more options like spin more then once.

This is the setup for my fish feeder via the Hydros. I have it set for 1 rotation. The max number of rotations is 8 and the max number of feedings is 10.

You have a few options if you want to get the Hydros controller. There is the X2 or XS starter pack that is 199 or the X3 monitor pack or X3 starter pack either one is 299. There is the X4 starter pack For 449. It just depends on what you want to monitor or control. You can also form a collective with multiple controllers. Once in a collective they act like one controller with access to all inputs when setting up an output. That is how you grow the system instead of modules. You just get the controller with the needed inputs and or outputs. The X3 is not in stock at this time but it is basically like the X2 and XS except it has 2 sense ports and a probe port.

at the moment I’m going to control it through the smart life app and see how it works before putting out the extra money. Thanks again for the help.

Now that it's been a few months, did this work for you with the smart life app only? I'm considering trying this myself.

It worked with the smart life app I just ran two timers at 6:00 and 6:01 to have it spin twice for the feeding. I only ran when I was away and had no issues. I did test the week before I left to make sure it operated correctly and to get the feed size correct.

Perfect, thanks for the update.

Do you have to be near the feeder to use it? Or you can turn it on if you are out of the house as well?

Mine is setup to automatically feed twice a day. I don't need to do anything other than make sure it has food to dispense.
