Hi all, just picked up a Hydros to run my four Octo Pulse 4’s which are located in each corner of my tank. Trying to work out best grouping in the Hydros app. Anyone know of the ‘best practice’ for this? I currently have all four in Group 1 with positions set on all four sides (Front, back, same, opp) but I’m not 100% certain I’m doing this right?

Let's see if we can get some help with your question...

If you group them all in the same group, they all have to run on the same profile. If you for instance wanted the two front pumps to ever shut off while the two rear are running their own program, it would require them in two separate groups. I haven't really done much beyond leave my two gyre pairs in their own group, so can't really touch upon how complicated it can get, or if groups can piggyback what other groups are doing.

@Carlos@CoralVue would probably be the most in-depth answer for advanced things like that. If that functionality doesn't currently exist, I believe they have a 'wish list' of sorts on the go for future features. That would be a good one to have imo.

Its a fantastic bit of kit and the flexibility it great, one additional feature that would really help, ability to group groups or set profiles to apply to multiple groups.

Hey!!

I also have a WE and I have mine in 1 group also. There is nothing wrong with how you have yours set .
I run my pumps Like this.

1 set of pumps is listed as same end and the other 2 are run as opposite end . This way you create a back and fourth oscillation!
I’ll post some pictures below for inspiration!

Spent a couple hours playing around and found yes, one group and same/opp ends creates some nice flow patterns. Four weeks in, so far i'd say the CoralVue Hydros in combination with my Octo Pulse 4's are honestly one of the best upgrades i've made. Even more so now i've enabled reverse so my Octo's!

Thanks Michael@CoralVue, quick question - Your app screenshots look completely different to my iPhone installed app (which is up-to-date). Is this an internal future update coming soon?
