Took the core off to clean and now it will not restart. Would not work as stand alone. The controller on the core doesn't light up. What am i doing wrong?any suggestion

The power supply light is on. When i plug it into the controller, nothing light up

I had a COR power supply die on me. LFS didn't have replacements, I had to buy a new COR just to get the supply. I ordered a replacement and put it in the new COR box, now I'm just keeping the whole thing as a backup, since my LFS didn't take it back.

Apparently there was an issue with COR 20 power supplies. I have two COR 20 pumps that are two or three years old and both of their power supplies failed within a month or two of each other. In both cases it happened after the power had been shut off to them. They were working fine, the power was turned off, then they never came back on. I found out that my LFS actually started stocking the COR 20 power supplies because he said that he had seen quite a lot of them failing.

However, that said, in both cases when my power supply failed there were still lights on the controller, as long as it was connected to the aquabus. Even with the power supply completely disconnected you should get lights on the controller when it is plugged into the aqua bus. If you have no lights then I would check your aquabus connection and aquabus cable. If that doesn’t help then I suspect it’s a controller issue and not a power supply issue.

Kinda ridiculous since all i did was disconnect it from my apex and it die.how do you check to see if the power supply is bad?

I just saw that you are in Orlando too. The LFS that I mentioned that was stocking replacement power supplies is Top Shelf Aquatics. If you have another failure you might be able to get one there.

Yeah they didn't happen to have any in stock that day. I'm guessing the COR can pull max spec from that PS and sometimes the PS come in a little under spec.
