Core 7 powders getting hot

I bought the 4x4 core 7 powders package a few days ago.
Ifter mixing up with 0 tds according to the instructions, 2, 3a and 3b mixes got really hot!
It was almost too hot to touch.
Is that normal?

Yes, it is normal. It is just like mixing sodium carbonate (soda ash), the solution will get hot.

3a and 3b should get hot, but I don’t see why #2 would. #2 is Calcium.
