Hi

I am setting up my frag tank in the basement and got the 5 liter core base system to dos.. but the basement is only around 60 f so the 3a and 3 b keep precipitating... can I dilute all the components to prevent this? I was thinking of doing 1/2 RODI Mixture... would that resolve?

Thanks

Where is it precipitating?
In the containers, the line?
Is there a temprature difference between the containers and where the lines are set?

I have my sump in my shop,
The DT, Core 7 containers, and dosing pumps are in the office.
My lines went through the wall and dumped into the sump.
The shop temp was always 15-20 degrees colder and my 3A and B line continuously clogged.
So I relocated the line inside the office and positioned it into the overflow.
Have not had a plug since.

I dont know if diluting will work it might.
That said you will have to come up with the mathematical solution.
I know other reefers dilute with RODI for other reasons so I know it wont be an issue for the products.

In the containers, I have not started dosing yet as I’m still setting tank up. If I bring them upstairs (70 f) it fully dissolves but when I leave it downstairs again it starts to form solids again... I’m thinking it’s super saturated so any decrease in temp causes it to be able to hold less in solution

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
