i have 2 tong tentacle anenomes. They are currently tucked behind the back of my tank... will they move by them selves back up front or do I need to move them myself?

Do they need light?

Mine moved all the way across the tank by itself until it found a happy place. Yes, they are photosynthetic and need light, but if they are healthy they will take care of this requirement themselves by moving to an appropriate location.

will they move back to the light? Or do I need to make that happen?

A healthy anemone will move to the most ideal placement for that particular anemone.

How long have you had them, what is the lighting type and what % are you running the lights at?

Ideally the anemones will move to an area for better viewing, moving them should be the last option.

They will move on their own. Don't move them unless they are in danger. Even if you moved him, it is highly unlikely it will stay where you want put him.

Here is my long tentacle anemone...this is the opposite side of the tank from where he was introduced. They like areas where they can bury their foot in the sand.
