Keep your fingers crossed " I've bought from cornbread númerous times in the past and things have been pretty on the spot to what you see on the pics but as of late I have heard some not so great stories photo shopping and things not being what they seemed to be in these great pictures but I think if your not happy with your purchase he's the kinda of guy you can call and he will make sure your happy in the in. Happy reefing!!!

If it is a jaw breaker type. They could take a some time before colors come in. But a lot of people have mentioned the photo wizardry that seems to be going on with a number of vendors. I have been burned several times buying a great looking piece. Then finding out the only time it will look like the online picture is when tank is in night mode lighting.

I agree with the above posts but without sounding like a fanboy, which I am simply because he is from good 'ol tallahassee. But more importantly, because between Mike Cruz (Fire Corals) and Cornbred I have been treated very well as a customer, receiving what looks like the photos I was presented with, even if color took some time to come back to the corals. They run a unqiue lighting setup, and as far as I can tell with my experience and editing photos, they only correct white balance and some contrast/exposure properties. This, unless done in extreme, should give you a good idea, if not a great idea, of what the coral if given the correct parameters to survive and thrive will look like. Every system chemistry, lighting, and numerous other variables are different. It took my Fire Corals Citrus Punch millie over 3 months to come around after browning hard, but its now EXACTLY what Mike Cruz photo's presented it as and its absolutely stunning if not more so than his photos.

I am on your side though, if after a good amount of time, it is not what you paid for or your not satisfied, I guarantee Cornbred will work something out with you. They have great customer service in my experience. Keep us updated, I would like to see how that shroom does too. Recently gained a soft spot for the softies (see what I did there?!? im so funny) and I am thinking about buying some shrooms for a separate system.

yeah mike and cornbred are cool guys hopefully the one they sent me decides to do some crazy morphing soon cuz right now its just red lol

Looks like the same mushroom so far, give it some time, took one of my mushrooms from Polyp_Pete here on R2R about a month to show the yellow rim and bubbled white stripes. One of the reasons I have been in hot pursuit of some crazy cool mushrooms to go with it and make a little tank with a garden of shrooms. :)

Good luck with it bud!

haha thanks man but yeah I've got my fingers crossed, I'm a big mushroom guy so I'm hoping this one comes along!

How is Cornred's Lighting Unique?

What Exactly does he use?

Maybe unique was a bad adjective, im sure someone out there is running similar or the same but from the insider look video, not speaking to him, looks like he runs a pretty blue spectrum. Looks, from my perspective like T5 Blue + and reef bright actinic strips. Can not be sure though without doing my research or asking. I just meant unqiue in terms of running a spectrum of lighting deviating from a full spectrum setup which usually causes corals to look a bit different when changing from one type to the other until they acclimate properly. Again this is all opinion and experiance, no fact or actual research goes behind it. I run full spec leds and blue plus t5s and when recieveing corals from them they look colored but slightly different after a day or two and until they acclimate to my lighting over time to come back to what I got them as or they look in the photos, in my experiance with sps this is the case. Just trying to provide some insight to why it might look different, but im no shroom expert. Sticks are my main squeeze!

ouch, I sure hope that gets some crazy color morphing or else I would be pretty angry lol

Its hard to buy corals now from some people or vendors because they take pictures under uv or blue only to make the colors pop and when you get the corals like he said before on the post they only look close with night lights on I think that's very misleading in less they have pictures of reg. light setting as well. I'm glad not all people or vendors are like that.
