Hi all doing some spring/summer cleaning my cb grail is starting to over take so had to cut some off. I have 2 maybe 3 frags F/S would prefer local sale as Iv never shipped corals before but if need be it will be $45 for overnight with 2 hour DOA guarantee. Will not be responsible for late delivery cause of FedEx... shipping is non refundable prices are $900 for the large and $800 for the small... once again would prefer local pick up..... thanks for looking also added pic of mother colonel

Year ago it was 500 for it and it was the same penny size now they added on 1 more zero... well if my word not good enough o well that's all I can give is that not really in a habbit of keep Receipts from almost 2 years ago

Dont really care what the other have to say. I'll Reiterate how can you flesh out a frag? It wont live if you put flesh on a frag. Just cause I wont dig deeply into the colony it's a bad frag.. let me give you guys some info when I got it year half ago it was the same way I'm selling it now.. you really think cb is going to give you more than what I have on a plug lol yeah! But thanks bro much appreciated

This thread is interesting, referring to the opening comments more so.
The idea that some dude that named himself cornbread can come and price a coral at ridiculous prices(imo) and you can't do the same unless you have proof that this price was set by some cornbread guy is unbelievable to me. I can't understand how people can process that and say, yeah that sounds rational.

Not going to hate one bit, if people will pay for someone attaching marketing fees to a coral, so be it A HG is a HG, nothing hotter, or more firey, just marketing to drive prices even further. #1, the coral offered is beautiful, that is what matters! A request for receipt, are you kidding me, lol, clearly HG, how would one distinguish a CB from ASD, UC, WWC, TSA, etc? Is there a certain stamp on the corals base, or water mark on the polyp? If we are to buy based on the good ole fashioned word of another, seems frivalous to validate that, and who's to say that person is being completely honest anyways? Most wholesaler deems a coral a standard, ultra, or rainbow, that simple, and usually priced accordingly, and most vendors must take on x number of standard, ultra, to get that one cherry. A great vendor then "cooks", "names", "markets", and "prices" accordingly. Nice coral, nice frags, and hopefully someone will be happy with their purchase, that is all that matters GLWS

I assume people are asking for a receipt so they can validate spending a ton of money on a tiny frag with just a single blue picture to look at. I’m sure we’ve all been burned once or twice with an online coral sale. Asking for a little info to try to minimize that isn’t “the haters coming for me”.

I’ve never seen torch coral frags with that little skeleton before either. Sounds reasonable that these elite torches would be cut as small as possible by vendors to make top dollar. It’s done all the time with acros/chalices just never seen a torch. Maybe you should say when they were fragged and how long they been attached to the plugs you have? So people don’t think someone cut them improperly and is trying to offload them quick. Just my $0.02

This is a legit holy grail torch. But the real crime here is that OP tried to frag 3 smaller frags off a single head without waiting for the mother to fully branch out. Fragging branching euphyllias is completely different from fragging a mushroom or acro

I think perry is missing the point. The reason I ask for lineage is because as we all know, corals can be photoshopped or lighting can be changed to make things look a certain coloration. Knowing the lineage ensures that the coral and coloration you get are indeed what you are paying for. As a buyer, you have little recourse if you get a live coral that ends up not “glowing” like the picture. I have had this before and the seller simply says “must be your lighting”. When you have proof of lineage, you know what coral you have and know the colors. If this coral was being sold for $100, then it wouldn’t be an issue. But when you ask such a price, I feel it’s valid to request proof you are getting what you are paying for. I agree with most of what is said above. But I also think people like us are responding to protect those new reefers who might not know or have experience with corrupt sellers. I am not saying the OP is corrupt or misrepresenting. I’m just saying, for me to purchase something of this price tag, I would want to know what I was getting. I hate when people in this hobby get burned and leave the hobby because they lost $900 on a coral. IMO Those corals need a month to heal before they can ship or sell unless there is a 2 week guarantee on them.

I totally get you, I have only tried to frag Euphyllia once, and it was a total mess, but luckily, a mouth survived, and will be a full head soon. I would never attempt to frag, or sell a Euphyllia frag unless head is on it's own stalk, I think that is the confusion I have seen, mouth vs. a head, I don't know, lol, I am SPS guru turned LPS lover, lol
