Corner flow tank

I just filled a 75 gl corner flow tank to a 30 gl sump. The hose from the over flow gurgles and the the level of water in the corner overflow fluctuates about one inch. The hose feeding the sump from the overflow does not have any drastic bends to create a "trap" so to speak to cause this fluctuation in water level in the corner over flow or the return pump section. Any suggestions?j

Your return pump may be too much for the system, can you adjust it slower?

No I can't. It's a supreme magdrive 7. It work perfectly in my old 75 gl with a cpr overflow. Maybe I will need to purchase a new dc pump.
