I see several companies having these coral sales going on ,, I was just wondering if anyone is buying these corals or have fears of the corals not being delivered by UPS or Fed Ex because of the Virus ,, I have a SPS order being shipped today for delivery Tuesday ,, the order isn't coming from a vendor ,, the shipper was going to ship Thursday for Friday delivery ,,, but because of a Stay at Home going into effect in his state tomorrow ,, he is shipping today ,,

I am always on the look out for nice corals at good deals ,, I am just afraid to buy anything right now ,,

I think these companies are having sales because the business and all businesses are slowing down or closing. In order to keep customers, they have to slash prices. A lot of people are unemployed so I would guess they aren't going out and spending any money. As for shipment, I don't think UPS and Fedex have overnight shipment of coral as their top priority currently.

I have orders with people on this forum and orders from some sales. I know WWC is currently running a sale; when I look at Amazon I see my packages are scheduled to be delivered end of April which is a bit much (I have new thoughts on depending on companies like this in the future as they can change overnight, huge eye opener). Not sure if Amazon is because of their workforce limitations or shipping limitations.

No idea if overnight mail is being scrutinized. When dealing with any government run business like USPS my trust level is very low as I don't have faith in their work force. USPS is hard to trust when there isn't a global pandemic, I would think they are a disaster right now. I am telling all my coral sellers to just take their time letting frags heal.

While I think it depends on the state, and I can only speak to my specific state, but UPS stores are on the "essential" list and can remain open. On the delivery side of things, UPS, FedEx, and USPS are out in full force. If anything they appear to be as busy as Christmas week. I think the only thing I would be wary of is time sensitive items, which might not be consistent with the amount of volume currently in shipping.
