Are these kind of correct LFS said these should be the parameters looking to do mainly lps, hammer, torch, zoas and 1 or 2 sps acopua
Salt 1.023-1.025
NO3 0
NO2 0-.05
Ammonia 0
pH 7.8-8.2
Calcium 450
Alkalinity 7.5
Magnesium 1250-1350

Do these sound right? I'm going to use Red Seas foundation supplements so I'm trying to figure what is correct depending where I've looked it all says different than ks in advance

So this is the alkalinity so say the 0.5 section I test and get 2.5 with 5 drops of Tritant. Using the sps frags section I would have to put 42ml to bring my alkalinity up to 8.4 am I reading it correctly?

^ Check out the link provided by our own Chemist Randy Holmes Farley!!!!!

If you are just starting out and do not have large colonies or clams keeping parameters near NSW/normal salt water is a good goal and can be done with routine water changes with most popular salts such as Instant Ocean . Consistency is key.

Right now have a Fowler tank keeping good salt stable battling nitrates but not gonna start getting into corals until summer time
