I am new to the hobby and tried to do a lot of research to avoid mistakes. I know I will make mistakes, but I want to keep them to a minimum. Currently I am setting up a Red Sea Reefer Nano ( 21 gallons in the tank and 7 gallons in the sump). The manufacture suggests a pump that can return 530gph. I have read that SPS corals like high flows, LPS medium flows, and softies low flow. If the pump is returning 530gph , is that considered high flow, medium flow, or low flows gieven the size of the system?

Hello!

High, medium, and low flow will be determined by the placement of your pump and corals. You can have a pump set to max flow and a coral be getting low flow because of the placement. The way the coral reacts to the flow will tell you if it's too much or not enough. I wish it were more simple but you'll get the hang of it!
