Correct way to feed fish

I understand there are bad things that can come from feeding your tank incorrectly. Does anyone have an tips when feeding?

I use an over sized skimmer, chaeto and run a GFO Reactor. I still have a nutrient issue. I feed fish only every other day reef frenzy.

I feed little bits at a time while fish consume what's in the water column before adding more.
