Correcting the salinity level of my tank

Hey guys, just a quick question. My current salinity level is around 1.20 - 1.21 since I'm using a hydrometer I can't get the exact value. However, my question is can I add a dissolved salt water to my tank while the fish is on it? or should I remove them first? If it's okay should I add a water conditioner as well upon adding the salt water or not necessary?

And another one is, should I need to add some skimmers on my tank even if it is 10 gallons? Because I've read on some sites that it's okay for my tank even without skimmers what do you suggest?

Yes, you can add saltwater, a higher solution to get the SG up.
No, you do not need to run a skimmer on a 10g tank, its to easy for you to do water changes to get your numbers inline.

When you have the opportunity, definitely pickup a refractometer...so much easier / nicer. I hated dealing with little bubbles messing up the readings on the hyrdometer!

No problem on adding dissolved salt water to the tank (with the fish in it) to bring up the salinity. I'd say just try to bring it up slowly so you don't shock / stress the fish if you go from 1.021 to 1.025. Maybe try to bring up the salinity over the course of a few days? Might not be a huge deal, just what I'd do personally.

Otherwise when you do your next water change, you can mix up your water with a SG higher than your current level. May take a few water changes, but then you'll get to the SG you want.

I will add some salinity levels by tomorrow. Though my fish is still healthy at 1.021, I still want to follow the instructions and rules so I can avoid any possible issues in the future.

If it is fish only, you wil be just fine where it is, however with corals, you need it higher. Please do it over a course of a few day so has not to stress inhabitants.
