This is not a typical question that gets asked given the uniqueness of my setup.
Long story short, the house we moved to has an area in the basement that almost looks like it was built to house a tank. There is a built-in that I modified to hold the tank and there is a built-in canopy section as well. The built-in on the bottom fits the sump perfectly but the problem I'm seeing now after setting everything up is that the main water line which is housed in that bottom section is starting to show some blue/green corrosion. The humidity is causing the corrosion if it is even that.
Obviously the plumbing for the main water line is not something to mess with but how damaging is this? How long would it take to do damage to the point that I would need to fix it? Maybe it would never get to that point in the first place, but then maybe it would. What are your thoughts? The setup is perfect as you can see in the picture. But the main water line is not worth messing with.
