This is my jbj 29 gallon nano hqi. Switched from pro LEDs hood to hqi hood to see if I could get better growth and color. Stocked with a harem of Pygmy cherub angels, helfrichi fire fish, Tanakas possum wrasse and Randall's shrimp/goby combo, couple small blennies. Overstocked but stable undetectable levels.

I have the same tank, but I use a T5 setup on mine. Nice little tanks for sure, I also removed the back compartment to get more room and I love the extra space.

Looking good!

Good idea indeed as those back areas can take up quite a bit of space indeed ... Of course adding a sump would be the next thing to do but I yet have to find a HOB overflow that I trust and that works properly ... I know there are many on the market but it seems that no one agrees on a particular one that does not create problems at some point.

Adding a sump though is the next thing I am going to do as another Hobbyist gave me a 20 long that is drilled already so I can just pipe it all and get a return pump and I should be in business. Then I can move everything from my 20 High to the 20 Long and use the 20 High as a sump. That should work.

Need to finish the New Book though .. getting there but as I proof read I keep adding more detail and it seems that the book keep getting larger and larger, and has more and more color pics in it .. oh well .. I will get there. Soon !

So after staring at my tank and sharing it with you guys I decided I wasn't happy with the rock that had a large zoa colony and Aussie green acro on it so I took a piece from the vat and replaced it. Added some acro frags and a pyros envy zoa frag to it. Much better. Ill take the rock to the lfs tmrw and try to sell it.

thanks everyone for the compliments

Very nice! I can't wait to get started on mine. Still in the gathering equipment phase. Admiring all of the 29 builds on here.

So how many Cherubs do you have in that tank if I may ask .. looks great as I said in another message ...

Yeah Jordan same bulb. It goes from yellow to blue after warming up. Still going to replace it soon though since neither of us know its age. I've got 4 cherubs in the tank. Oh yeah and a rainfordi goby I forgot about.

Yeah it looks great after its warmed up. Kinda got the tank warm so I turned the heater down and cut the photoperiod. That live rock I got from the store really made my tank come together nicely.

Was thinking of adding an actinic led strip or moonlights to the nano if you've got any ideas of some small strips. I could use
