Not sure if I need one just yet but from my KH readings I've noticed them going down slowly in my 60 gallon cube. Water changes didnt seem to help them either. So I may be in need of a dosing pump. Question is are there any affordable reliable ones like around 100 to 150$? I see amazon has a jebao for 50-75$ but dont know if that's good. Every other main retailers low end is like 275$ witch is just wild. Only looking for a 2 part doeser for brs 2 part.

Affordable and reliable don't often collide in the same sentence with these. Jeabo are not really all that reliable. GHL are great - see if you can find a used one for a bit more money. Some of the locals swear by their DOS, but I have not used one personally. See if you can swing a higher quality used setup. ...I know that this is not helpful... sorry.

I'm not against saving for something nice but I would prefer something in the 200$ or less range.
Not even sure why my tank needs a pump right now. I mean I have 4 small acros, 2 small birdsnests, 2 monti caps, then hammers medium duncan 1 small blasto and one medium acan, the rest are zoas and shrooms. Really think that's enough to take a demand from weekly water changes?

I use the bubble magus dosing pump. My parameters hardly fluctuate. There are several types and prices vary. They are very reliable and easy to set up.

I'll spend the extra buck to have something reliable but it has to be with a price range. All the major retailers stick with these high end pumps and I know they are great but only for your dream tank I feel like.

Weekly water changes can be enough, but only daily testing will tell you. Coralline is a huge consumer of carbonate and calcium - once your coralline is growing like crazy, you better have a dosing scheme figured out.

If you need cheap-for-now, check out dripping saturated kalk. This is some more work, but it can be cheap. The hands-on nature of this can also teach you a lot about tank demands and stuff.

You can also just add baking soda and calcium chloride by hand every day or two. This can work as long as you don't let the parameters swing too much.

First Google search was a BM TO-1, for bubble magus. Now I've never needed dosing before but I know mag doesnt need it as frequently so if I do mag does that need to be every day or can be set to once a week?

Honestly that's why I'm looking at pumps, because I work a lot and often dont have time to do that every day. I've only been testing every other day now because I noticed a drop in my alk. I'll post what's been going on as far as KH from tests.

You can probably dose mag by hand once or twice a week if you want to save on a doser for it. If you change water, then you might not need to dose it at all. Some people never dose it and they use a lot of 2 part.

After buying 7 dosers, I only buy one if seller can sell me extra tubing with it. Don't buy if seller can't do that

July 30th, month after tank set up, KH 9.0 small amount of corals were added from my 10 gal, mostly zoas
Aug. 17th, KH 8.5,
Oct. 5th 8.4 dog
Oct. 16th 7.0 dkh, think I miss read it because the 17th showed 7.6dkh after 2 tests. No water change imbetween.
19th october, 7.3 sky
25th oct. 4 days after water change 7.3
Just dont know why it dropped so far. I stopped doing weekly water changes one time and did bi weekly and notice growth stopped in this month so I wonder if I go back to weekly, still on my first week doing it if it'll go back. I'm still in the testing phase as you can see to figure out what's going on. Especially now I have more corals.

Its quoted and rated at .1 ml accuracy and I've found that to be true. It calibrates super easy and for the week i've had it set up its held its calibration. To early to promote the product but seems like its good so far.
I know to early to promote it on your part but may I ask what made you gravitate toward that one, instead of any other pump? As in the deciding factor for you?
