Have seen a few stands made by Chris.
Was wondering those owners can give me the cost range for their stands so I can get an idea.

I have already sent a request on his web page. But just wanted to get a reference point.

You are welcome to PM me if you don't want to put it out here. I would appreciate it.

Thanks jolt. You think either one of those stands were worth that price though? What makes them so expensive?

They are custom built furniture which is not cheap by any means. Even material costs aren't cheap. I spent 3 years working for a master cabinet maker. We restored antiques and built custom furniture as well. There is a lot of time and material cost that goes into it.

Fair enough. It's definitely superior quality to a lot of DIY or even purchased stands. Didn't mean to diss the work. It's beautiful for sure.

I looked at many options before I bought these. I saw Chris's work in person at MACNA before I decided to go with him. He built them exactly to my specs, and the big one has many customized details. I don't consider them expensive. You get what you pay for,

Exactly!

I have seen a lot of Chris's work since he lives near me.:) An the stand is going to be to my WIFE'S spec so money is not an issue.:)

She want's it to match the other furiture in the living room all the equipment will be in the garage. I have already started building it out and the whole system will not be online for another year and a half. But if I slowly bring it online it will be an easy job. Next year I will start with a big sump in the garage for the small tank in the living room then I can just slide the new stand in and tank and boom new hotness.:)

I had a similar situation . My wife had a piano in the room we converted to the "fish room". Chris worked with me to match the wood type and finish to perfection, and we also had him make a matching coffee table and end table. It all came together very nice. I tried to find someone local to do this and could not get any cabinet makers to bite. On top of that, finding someone who makes furniture quality stands and also understands the issues associated with maximizing usable interior space while supporting a ton or so of glass, sand, rocks, water is no small thing.
