cotton candy?

I was told that this type of macro algae is called cotton candy and that it is a nuisance to most. I really love it and so do the copepods. Can anybody confirm this ID

It's a beautiful macro algae, BUT I know hobbyist that have torn down their tanks to get rid of it. It can be extremely invasive.
