I dosed vodka a bit for 2 weeks and my LPS looked so good during that time. Now they start bleaching. I have stopped the vodka dosing. I see a couple of cotton chain like bacteria strips in my tank. Are these good bacteria? I feed agressively twice a day (energy a, b, oyster feast, ocean eggs, and fozen food) to prevent further bleaching but with little improvement. I am sure it is from vodka. Should I feed even more? Any ways to prevent further bleaching?

If it is a bacteria bloom you may want to reduce feeding. I had to almost stop feedng period for like two weeks to stop my bloom. Again though, that is if it is a bacteria bloom. Ive never dosed vodka so im clueless in that department.

I used vodka doseing on my 29biocube and when I started I had to build up to my correct doseage same goes when stopping I decreased slowly ive read that by stopping suddenly it could cause chemistry problems in your tank. By using this technique I didnt she any real signs of distress but never started it back up

I have reduced to .2 ml a day for 120g just to be safe. Not sure if I should increase or reduce feeding to prevent from further bleaching.

I would cut down feeding absolutely to not encourage any more phos or nitrates and monitor your params a water change couldnt hurt ither goodluck

Sounds to me you are getting a bloom. I carbon dose but don't use vodka i use Redsea nopox. When i got a bloom i cut down the dosage and it cleared quickly. Now i just put a small amount in everyday and everyting is right on the money.
