Hello,
I've searched to see if this question has come up yet but haven't found one. I was hoping I could get some help/answers. I went to turn over my 'fuge yesterday and the texture of my Chateo looked different near the surface of the water. I pulled it out and it was almost like a dense fluffy cotton texture (like you dipped a cotton ball in water) instead of stringy like normal. It was super green so it wasn't bleaching or changing to another color.
I only feed my fish once a day so I'm not sure if my bio-load isn't high enough. Sometimes I lose track of how long my 'fuge light has been on. Does anyone have an idea of what my Chateo is doing? I wish I would have taken a picture of it.
Thanks in advance

Maybe hair algae growing on it or epiphytes?
