Hi guys,

I don't know how much time my Montipora has been like this, but i took a picture today and it looks like it has 3 kind of darker spots on top, it is growing and showing healthy colours !

All of those are in check, i just can't test Ph but still think it should be good. I had an Alk swing something like 15 days ago , and i noticed that this Montipora was pulling off a lot of filaments at the time of a water change, the day after, everything was Ok

Light I'm not sure that it is too high, it is a AI Prime 16 HD running at 34W most part of the day, here is a full pic of the tank , to check the height compared to the top ( left top , 3rd shelf counting from top)

So probably it isn't light related , right ? Otherwise I think it would have been all burned.. It is showing good growth, so this was caused by an Alk swing?

Thanks!

Lekki
Alk spike
Wysoka zawartość wapnia
Zasolenie, jak
Za duży lub niewystarczający przepływ wody
Ph niskie

SPRAWDŹ TE ELEMENTY
Czy wysoki poziom wapnia może mieć zły wpływ na zieloną moniporę? U mnie poziom Ca to około 500 .... a zielony monti zmienia kolor na biały ;-(

alk swing my best guess

It recovered since then and it is growing nicely! I'll try to post some pictures of the updates

My exact monti turned all purple like that for 6 months.
Its now back to green.
It was under 9 months of 8 T5's and now after 3 months of MH its back to green.
Nothing else changed in my tank as its very stable.
Still have no idea why.
I kind of liked the all purple vs the green.
Mine started from the purple edges and was all purple in a months time.
Not the best purple pic but you can tell the difference.
Secomd pic was yesterday.

Yea it looks blue under 4 c+ and 4b+ but is purple in person.
Any ideas as to what caused the change. My guess for mine is light?
It took about 6 weeks after going to all MH for the change to occur.
