Hey reefers,

I got this short tentacle torch about 2 months back.
But only until yesterday i realised part of the skeleton exposed.

I checked there's isn't any flatworm presented.

So far it still expand well for the others part.
In such situations, should i change it location to a low light low flow area so that it could recovered?
Or i need to do any iodine dip? If yes, could i use brightwell iodine to do so?

Thanns

I’m not qualified to answer, but yes, it can recover. I had a piece get to a worse stage and come back.

Something is wrong environmentally... parameters or flow.

May i know what have you changed that help on it's recovery?

In my case it was too high of flow and low nutrients (nitrates were <1).

I moved it to a QT with low flow, moderate light area and fixed the nutrient issues. Spot fed a couple times a week after it stabilized. I didn’t dip anything.

Again, I’m really not experienced, but I thought it was a goner and with just some patience and giving it time to heal it recovered.

I'm impressed!
Thats looks like a great recovery.

How long it tooks for you to see the visible result?

4-6 weeks before polyps were out consistently and tissue began growing down again. About 12 weeks before I moved it back to DT.

Fix the environment and it can heal.

Don’t give up. I have a torch that I thought was dead for sure. I just didn’t get around to removing the skeleton. A couple of weeks later he put out a single tentacle and has fully recovered.

yeah, currently I'm just placing it around low light , and low-mid flow area see how's it goes.
