Couldn't help myself...new lion

I was at my favorite lfs today, just looking and talking; not planning to get anything other than food. Checking out the tanks, this guy jumped from his perch and came front and center, seemingly shaking his tail at me. I did just lose my fuzzy, "the FUZZ", and miss him in the tank. So this one is now in my qt, he will join the others in a few weeks. Pictures really don't do him justice, he's gorgeous.

Is that a yellow fuzzy? If so, you're so lucky. I love my fuzzy, but wish he had been yellow.

I'm having trouble getting my photos to load. Yeah he may have some issues, he is in qt and going through prazipro right now. I am a bit curious about his eyes and he also has a sore on the end of his lip. I've seen the lip thing before and think it might be from shipping, it usually heals up pretty quickly. He is eating live ghosties with gusto and showing some interest in dead ones. He's active and alert so I'm optimistic he'll settle in.

Yeah there is some yellow, we'll see if it last. Some theories are it's because of their diet and over time in captivity the yellow may fade. My last fuzzy was dull and brown when I got him and turned into this vibrant almost fluorescent red. I'm seeing some very interesting color variations lately, this guy is like a dark maroon with black and yellow.

I haven't found them to lose color. I suspect he'll just get brighter, especially if he is currently showing "stress" colors. I'll cross my fingers that his eyes clear up, but I don't like that there's both eyes and lip involvement.

The lip thing has already went down and now its just a bit of discoloration. Hopefully the eyes will clear up with the Prazi and I wont have to resort to antibiotics.

Try to take a pic with just white light on him. The blue is a nightmare for photos.

The lip just looks like "bag rub". No biggie unless it gets infected.

Prazi won't help the eyes. If they don't clear up, you'll need something specific for him.
