quick question about living in the country. Since there is no chlorine in the water, would i be able to use the water straight from the tap for water changes?

I live in the country and have had reefs for 15 years. I have used straight tap water without it seeming to be detrimental, I still have some corals that are original to the tank when I bought it.
That being said, I NEVER had great success until I started useing a RO/DI. Look at the bright side, you won't have to change the cartridges/filters as often.

ok! Thanks guys. Also i wasn't sure if it mattered but i do pay Culligan 20.00 a month to rent some kind of water conditioning unit not sure if that matters. I don't think it would matter tho as there are no filters to change or anything like that.
