I use Regular Instant Ocean...
I used some other salts when I started out, but I still liked Instant Ocean, and it was the best price value for me.
For me growth rate has had more to do with lights and nutrient levels then minerals.

I do about one 5g water change a week with the IO salt mix, I also drip kalk or all kalk to the ATO, but not much, I keep my Ca under 400ppm, In my testing/research Ca is not a limiting factor.

I used to use DDh2ocean mag+ because it's what cornbred used to use and he used to get cheap for me, but one time they ran out and I tried instant ocean and after i tried and tested my tank did the same. I tested parameters cal, alk and mag and only the mag was lower but everything was the same. I've been using for 6 months and so far so good.

Mag is a little lower with the IO mix, at first I bough a bottle of Mag to dose with, but after about 4 months of keeping up with the Mag I stopped playing with it. its been about 4 years since I stopped playing with the Mag, the Mag dose run on the "low" side, but I have seen no ill effects, pH, Alk, Ca and such are all running close to natural levels, and I have no complaints.
