Couple quickie chalice pics with extension tubes

I love using my extension tubes to get sharp pics of my chalices to check out details I don't catch with the naked eye. These are with stacked 12+20+36mm tubes. tricky getting decent focus with all the length using my junky tripod. That's my next investment.........

Here is a post I did a couple years ago showing some examples of stacking those extension tubes. They basically allow you to focus with your camera closer to the subject than the lens would otherwise allow.

Yes, I always use a tripod for reef shots (shutter tends to be open for a long time). Not sure what BTS is.....

Yes to both. I use lightroom for post processing (usually just adjusting color temp and knocking down glare).

Yes to both. I use lightroom for post-processing (usually just adjusting color temp and knocking down glare).

BTS -Behind The Scene- On how you do the photoshoot of corals.... like the light scenario and camera setup etc....

Haha, well I use a pretty simple formula:
Glass-Clean
Flow-Off
Lights-Blue
Camera Settings-Aperture Priority mode (set the aperture to get depth of field and camera does the rest)
Shoot in RAW
Camera as close to perpendicular with the glass as possible

If you are curious about any of the actual settings of any of my shots you should be able to click on the pic and be taken to my Flikr page for that shot which will have ISO, shutter speed, aperture etc.
