First the glob of white stringy stuff that appear to be being left behind by my snails....what is this??

Second are these brown bubbles on this snail...what are they??

1. bubble algae - the green variety of valonia can be dark brown. Whats more worrisome is if its the red valonia - which is a serious pain in the rear to get rid of. Either way, grab that snail out and toothbrush him/her off to get rid of them. A quick rise or three and then pop it back in.

2. snail eggs - nassarius and ceriths (I think) lay eggs like that. a stringy white mass, it can be a tight grouping, or really drawn out like that.

Its definitely bubble algae. Your blue light makes the green look brown/white.
The white string I can't confirm.

The snail has been captured and scrubbed!! :) . THANK YOU! SO glad I caught it! Praying it didn't get a chance to spread anywhere

Yes, I agree on both. Definitely bubble algae and snail eggs.

Snail eggs - - - holy crap. I already have a ton of nassarius and cerriths. HAHA! I don't need any more!! :) . But I do love baby snails. There are like 4 clumps and that one string!! :)

Here's one of my snails laying. It happens frequently but I've never noticed any babies. More like coral and fish food when they release.

Definitely bubble algae and snail eggs. My trochus snails are always laying egg ribbons. Every week I have to wait to clean a section of glass.
