Covering up at night?

I stay in the room with my aquarium at night watching tv and reading etc. Should I block the light from the room somehow? What do you night owls do?

Are you talking about for your benefit or so the neighbors don’t think you have a “grow” operation going on in your house

I don't think there is any need to do this. We leave a dim light on all night in our living room and the tank is in the foyer. Haven't ever had any issues.

Sorry if I miss understood the question.. I thought you where talking about the lights from tank effecting you (lots of people worried about blue lights on eye health) or like I said giving neighbors wrong impression.. lol. Ambient room lighting at night will have little to no effect on your tank.
